I loved almost all of them-with the exception of the villains, of course. I am blown away by Claire’s creativeness to write a lot of unique voices and develop them well.

I truly enjoyed the way Legrand described the surroundings out of the eyes of the characters.

The political aspects and the overall geography of it were fascinating. I don’t think the two stories separately would have been as spectacular but together they were compelling. The varying perspectives also take place in different time periods that would ordinarily confuse me but each is relevant to the other that makes intriguing and impressive narratives alone.
